I like to write about love because it’s the strongest power in the universe. It has the exceptional ability to heal, empower, and enrich the lives of others, but it must be real.
How do you know if it’s real love?
Real love is never selfish. It gives freely without demands, expectations or conditions. This isn’t to imply real love is perfect. At times it can be inconvenient, messy, difficult, and heartbreaking. It may require great sacrifice, but it will also provide the strength and grace to endure. For those fortunate enough to have real love in their lives, they can truly count themselves blessed.
Conversely, imitation love controls; it manipulates, enables, and stifles those it pretends to value. It relies on guilt, fear or passion to hide its self-centered nature. Imitation love claims pain, drama, doubt, or insecurity are a constant part of loving.
Real love lasts; imitation love lasts only as long as it’s convenient.
The idea of two people finding each other and overcoming life’s challenges to have their happily ever after has always been the focus of my stories. The characters I write about want to give and receive real love, even if they don’t realize it at the time. 😊♥
Writing is my joy, and I sincerely hope the books I write bring joy to you.
Wishing you happily ever after.
Lynn
